Youth Leadership for Climate Action project implemented in partnership with the British Council Nepal strengthened leadership and advocacy capacities of Dalit youth and community-based organizations. Before carrying out community action project, Youth Leadership and Advocacy Training was provided to 20 young leaders from Madhesh and Lumbini Province. The training equipped them with practical advocacy tools, evidence-based approaches and leadership skills and empowered them to take initiative within the intersectionality of climate justice, social accountability, and GESI. These youth organizations then developed community action plan for implementation.

Following the training, the Dignity Defenders implemented 53 community action programs across 20 districts in Madhesh and Lumbini Provinces, directly engaging more than 2,000 community members and stakeholders. These programs addressed climate justice, gender equality, anti-discrimination efforts, and youth leadership development.
