DLMGA conducted a comprehensive study to assess the inclusivity and political participation of marginalized groups during Nepal’s 2017 and 2022 elections. The research examines if political inclusion is genuinely institutionalized or is limited to tokenistic representation. A consultation workshop was organized to validate the findings and enrich the study where 20 participants including Dalit parliamentarians, local representatives, legal professionals, political leaders and journalists participated enthusiastically. They provided qualitative insights and lived experiences, underscoring persistent barriers to equitable political engagement in Nepal.
